In what cases is a refund made?
A full refund will be made when the minimum requirements established at the time of the offer are not met, and in situations that prevent the process from being carried out. The refund will be made within ten (10) to fifteen (15) working days after the payment has been made.
What are the reasons for closing a course?
The reason would be not having the minimum number of students required, not achieving compliance with the established schedule for the start and/or completion of the program.
What is the number of students in each group?
The number of students will be determined according to the type of course and will be informed at the time of publishing the academic offer.
What are the reasons for cancellation of my course?
The cancellation of a student's course is carried out when the student does not meet the minimum required attendance, or does not comply with the minimum commitments required by the course.
Do I have to meet a minimum attendance requirement to become certified?
The student must comply, at least, with the 80% of course attendance as established in the Student Academic Regulations of the Institución Universitaria Salazar y Herrera.
What should I do in case of absences?
In case of not being able to attend a session, justification must be presented (domestic calamity, work event, incapacity) and a commitment must be made with the teacher in charge to make up for the hours not taken.
What is a diploma?
A diploma course lasts between 80 and 159 hours, is structured by modules and is focused on updating participants on new trends and tools for their profession.
What is a course?
Courses are a series of lessons that are part of a curricular structure, their central objective is to analyze a subject with pedagogical techniques.
What is a workshop?
It is usually a short course, where discussion, skills are built and abilities are developed to solve a specific problem through the cooperation of the participants.
What is a seminar?
In a seminar, a specific topic is investigated in depth, and the participation of experts and students is sought in order to direct these topics to the practice and research of a discipline.
What is a symposium?
It is a meeting of experts on a specific topic, where new scientific and technological contributions in their discipline are analyzed in the form of papers supported by research.
What is a talk?
It is the explanation of an expert on a subject, given in an informal way.
What certification is obtained at the end of a program conducted by the Extension and Social Projection Center?
At the end of a course conducted by the Extension and Social Projection Center, a certificate of attendance is issued for the course completed.
Do the university facilities have parking facilities?
Yes, we have parking facilities at our facilities from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
How can I request a program approval certificate for a program?
The certificate must be requested by e-mail with the following information: Full name, identity document, name of the course and the year in which the course was taken. This information must be sent to the following e-mail address: formacióncontinua@salazaryherrera.edu.co

Outreach and social projection at Institución Universitaria Salazar y Herrera, is understood as the interactions between the constituent elements of the daily work of higher education with the environment, defined in three basic dimensions: The business, social and cultural, allowing the mobility of knowledge through teaching and research in terms of linking communities in processes of permanent updating and renewal of knowledge, also in the ongoing search for solutions to social needs.
Specific objectives:
- Contribute to the training of people through the development of knowledge, abilities and skills based on being, knowing and doing; so that they have a better understanding, adaptation and participation with the business environment with which they interact.
- Contribute to the development of the city and the country., The company is committed to the development of knowledge and science as elements of social responsibility, impacting the quality of life of individuals.
