In what cases is a refund made?

A full refund will be made when the minimum requirements established at the time of the offer are not met, and in situations that prevent the process from being carried out. The refund will be made within ten (10) to fifteen (15) working days after the payment has been made.

The reason would be not having the minimum number of students required, not achieving compliance with the established schedule for the start and/or completion of the program.

The number of students will be determined according to the type of course and will be informed at the time of publishing the academic offer.

The cancellation of a student's course is carried out when the student does not meet the minimum required attendance, or does not comply with the minimum commitments required by the course.

The student must comply, at least, with the 80% of course attendance as established in the Student Academic Regulations of the Institución Universitaria Salazar y Herrera.

In case of not being able to attend a session, justification must be presented (domestic calamity, work event, incapacity) and a commitment must be made with the teacher in charge to make up for the hours not taken. 

A diploma course lasts between 80 and 159 hours, is structured by modules and is focused on updating participants on new trends and tools for their profession.

Courses are a series of lessons that are part of a curricular structure, their central objective is to analyze a subject with pedagogical techniques.

It is usually a short course, where discussion, skills are built and abilities are developed to solve a specific problem through the cooperation of the participants.

In a seminar, a specific topic is investigated in depth, and the participation of experts and students is sought in order to direct these topics to the practice and research of a discipline.

It is a meeting of experts on a specific topic, where new scientific and technological contributions in their discipline are analyzed in the form of papers supported by research.

It is the explanation of an expert on a subject, given in an informal way.

At the end of a course conducted by the Extension and Social Projection Center, a certificate of attendance is issued for the course completed.

Yes, we have parking facilities at our facilities from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Outreach and social projection at Institución Universitaria Salazar y Herrera, is understood as the interactions between the constituent elements of the daily work of higher education with the environment, defined in three basic dimensions: The business, social and cultural, allowing the mobility of knowledge through teaching and research in terms of linking communities in processes of permanent updating and renewal of knowledge, also in the ongoing search for solutions to social needs.

  • Contribute to the training of people through the development of knowledge, abilities and skills based on being, knowing and doing; so that they have a better understanding, adaptation and participation with the business environment with which they interact.
  • Contribute to the development of the city and the country., The company is committed to the development of knowledge and science as elements of social responsibility, impacting the quality of life of individuals.
  • Responding to the needs of the region, identifying, organizing and evaluating cultural plans, programs and projects, seeking to disseminate and conserve the cultural heritage.
