Students need to reach Level B1 (12 sub-levels) of a second language, according to the Common European Framework, to graduate.
Our program
The legal professional exercises the defense of rights and the application of the law with ethics, responsibility and rigor. He/she is competent in legal counseling,
conflict resolution, legal research and argumentation, allowing him to work in public, private and judicial organizations,
contributing to justice, regulatory compliance and the strengthening of society.
Graduates of the Salazar y Herrera Law program will be comprehensively trained lawyers with the analytical and ethical capacity to interpret norms and guarantee social justice. They will be able to resolve legal conflicts in the public and private spheres, apply civil, commercial, criminal, labor and constitutional law regulations, and develop innovative legal strategies aimed at the common good.
He/she will be prepared to advise, represent and accompany individuals or institutions in legal processes, always from a humanistic perspective, committed to equity, dignity and social values.
In addition, thanks to the program's orientation towards research, humanistic training and the social component, he/she will have the skills to produce legal knowledge, research, teach or intervene in projects of social impact.
A lawyer graduated from IUSH may work as a litigator, conciliator, consultant or legal advisor in judicial or administrative proceedings. They may also work as legal advisor in private companies, legal director or manager, in public entities - ministries, government agencies or state-owned companies - or in judicial functions as judge, prosecutor or court clerk.
Additionally, he/she can engage in teaching or research in law, participate in institutional projects of public policy, human rights, business, legal counseling or legal entrepreneurship. His training allows him to be inserted in society, the State, private enterprise, academia or in independent practice.

- The program offers (1) a line of deepening focused on Commercial Law and Intellectual Property, in which formative research processes are articulated through the problematization of the phenomena of these legal scenarios that may be articulated to the various areas of action of lawyers.
