The Electronic Engineering graduate of the Institución Universitaria Salazar y Herrera will be a professional trained to design, implement and maintain electronic, automation, control, robotics and telecommunications systems with a technical, analytical and social approach. They will be able to plan, organize, direct and control installation, operation and maintenance activities of electronic equipment and systems, as well as develop research, technological development and innovation projects.
He/she will have the skills to develop integral solutions that respond to the technological needs of the environment and to participate in interdisciplinary teams, applying knowledge in automatic control, telecommunications, system modeling and signal processing.
A graduate in Electronic Engineering from Institución Universitaria Salazar y Herrera may work as an analyst, designer or developer of electronic systems, industrial automation, control and robotics; designer and builder of electronic equipment; responsible for the maintenance, operation or installation of electrical or electronic systems; advisor or consultant in telecommunications, networks and communication systems; and researcher or manager of technological projects.
They will also have the skills to be entrepreneurs, creating companies in the electronics or technology sector, participating in the development and innovation of solutions in industry, telecommunications, automation or technology-related sectors.
The undergraduate program offers (2) two lines of deepening in its proposal:
- It provides the student with a focus on the telecommunications sector with radio propagation, teletraffic, mobile communications and telecommunications regulation.
- It provides deeper knowledge in the area of automation with intelligent control, system modeling, mechatronic design and signal processing.
