Our program
The applicant to the Animation program at Institución Universitaria Salazar y Herrera is a creative, imaginative person who is passionate about digital art, the
illustration and movement. He is motivated by telling visual stories, creating characters and exploring new forms of expression through technology.
He has an aesthetic sensibility, an interest in audiovisual media and a willingness to learn tools that allow him to transform his ideas into innovative visual experiences. He seeks to develop his talent in an environment where creativity, technique and emotion come together to give life to what he imagines.
Graduates of the Animation program at Institución Universitaria Salazar y Herrera will be creative and technical professionals capable of bringing stories and concepts to life through 2D and 3D animation or visual effects. They will handle from the creation of characters and storyboards to modeling, digital animation and audiovisual production, applying modern computer graphics tools.
Will have a comprehensive training that will allow them to intervene in all phases of an animated project, with artistic sense, technical mastery and narrative vision. They will be able to combine creativity, technique and critical thinking to produce innovative and high quality content in different visual media.
Graduates of the Animation program will be able to work in multiple areas of the audiovisual and creative industry: animation studios, film or video production companies, advertising agencies, digital content companies, video games or visual effects.
You will also be able to work in roles such as 2D/3D animator, character designer, storyboard artist, modeler, computer graphics animator, audiovisual content creator, production and post-production of animated projects. In addition, you will be able to undertake independently developing your own animation projects, visual narrative or multimedia content, contributing to the local or international creative sector.
The University Program of Animation of the Salazar y Herrera University Institution, allows you to choose lines of deepening that bring you closer to your dreams:
- Animation and Digital Technologies: Narratives for Animation, Theory of the Moving Image, Mixed Animation Techniques.
- Production Design for Animation: Workflow Planning, Management and Marketing of the Audiovisual Image, Technology Applied to Animation.
